Now for a few announcements…

I’m starting a Private 6-Week Fitness Cohort with limited spots… [Definition: co·hort /ˈkōˌhôrt/ noun. a group of people with a shared characteristic.

Question: Why do this?

Answer: According to statistics — and if I’m lucky — I’m about halfway done with my life. I still consider myself a work in progress, but now that I’m looking and feeling better, I’ve been asked by hundreds of people who are struggling with mental and physical health issues about my protocols.

The truth is I haven’t always been healthy but I’ve been good at hiding it. I’ve been “Skinny Fat” which is a term that refers to having a high percentage of body fat and a low amount of muscle. And for many years, starting around the age of 35, I struggled with severe migraines caused by a combination of inflammation from the foods I was eating; sleep apnea; stress; and dehydration.

Let me preface what I’m about to say like this: I’m grateful for modern medicine. My sister is a nurse at Stanford Hospital. If I have an acute injury like a stroke…sudden heart attack…or get my arm bitten off by a shark while surfing, doctors & nurses are amazing and can save my life. But doctors and our current medical system have also failed me.

My experience from my mid-30s to mid-40s caused a lot of unnecessary pain and suffering and none of the (multiple) doctors (and specialists) I saw could solve my problem. Their approach was often myopic according to their specialty.

They were not willing nor able to be collaborative with other doctors to have a holistic approach to helping me get healthy. I felt like one of the many cattle being herded (and charged full prices) in and out of their offices with no results. They defaulted to quick fixes like ordering me a CPAP machine or an endless prescription of pain meds to take for the rest of my life.

My quality of life was very low. Having lost all hope I started taking responsibility for my own health. I did my own research. I’ve spent the last decade and tens of thousands of dollars to get to where I am now by vetting out good doctors; proper lab tests; medications; quality supplements; proper nutrition; sleep optimization; fitness protocols and more that have worked for me.

My goal is simple: 

  • Be strong and healthy.

  • Feel great.

  • Be able to do the things I want to do with the people who mean the most for as long as possible.

There will be in-person and remote options to participate. You’ll be able to schedule being in the cohort around work and personal time. I’m planning on it to include direct access to me for consultation. A fitness program that can be done with me in person or remote. It will include nutrition protocols. It will include doctor, medical lab tests and supplement recommendations. It will include sleep optimization protocols.

It will cost money. How much? I’m not sure yet. Maybe somewhere between $500-$1,000. Before I decide I’d like to know if you find this valuable. Let’s measure your interest level and go from there.
