I can trace my success to 3 things

Mark Twain gets credit for this quote and I believe it to be true. I also believe this idea is worth more thinking about…

I can trace my success so far to 3 main things:

1. Tenacity

2. Creativity

3. Generosity

Generosity is sometimes misunderstood. At least I’ve misunderstood its power from time to time and been surprised by the return on my small investment. But if harnessed properly generosity can be like love — one of the most powerful forces on the planet.

As it happens, I sat down with TED Curator-in-Chief Chris Anderson about his new book, Infectious Generosity to unpack this mysterious virtue and compare and contrast the benefits of being a giver vs taker.
